Felicity Goodman

Felicity is Artistic Director alongside Tom. She is also Artistic Director of Folka Theatre. She has acted on the stage since she was seven, starting at amateur theatre groups in her native town of Reading. She also studied singing to grade 5 and was fortunate to perform in the Albert Hall, Notre Dam and the Festival Hall with her county choir.

Felicity graduated in 2008 from the Manchester School of Theatre where she studied Acting. Since graduating she has done additional training in Voice,  Physical Theatre and Clowning.

Felicity balances her life between teaching voice and elocution, writing, directing and performing. She has a love of travel and has travelled extensively since she was 16. The places that she has visited have had a great impact on her and her work.

Felicity's work is highly influenced by the Brothers Grimm, Roald Dahl, Kneehigh Theatre, Laurel and Hardy, Monty Python and folk music from around the world. She loves meeting new people and learning about different cultures.

Tom is Artistic Director alongside Felicity. He founded Just Add Water Theatre Company with college friend Ben Moores.  He trained in Karate from the age of 5, gaining his black belt at 11 years of age.  At 16 Tom joined his local amateur drama group which led to opportunities on and off stage to work with an array of communities and professional actors, directors, and writers.

Tom attended drama school at LAMDA and the Manchester School Of Theatre. He has done additional training in Martial Arts, Acrobatics, Physical theatre, Dance and Clowning.

Tom retains a keen interest in physical disciplines from Karate to sports and dance.  He is always looking to work with different communities as well as keeping in touch with the ones he grew up with in Cheshire.  Having worked with many people and learnt so much in various disciplines he is honoured to pass on those findings whenever possible.

Tom's work is influenced by Philip Pullman, Michel Gondry,  Jim Carrey , Bjork, Michael Jackson and Trent Reznor. At college he studied the architecture of Gaudi and the sculpture of David Nash and still looks to those influences today, especially their eye for combining man made structures with natural shapes and surroundings.

People. Stories. Movement.
